Blog #3: 9/11-9/17

This week, I have to say, was a pretty monumental week for me.After connecting to a multitude of surgeons and doctors in the Dallas area through LinkedIn, I got multiple responses from people who were willing to help me and my project. Not only did I manage to stay on top of my classwork, but also set up two interviews - one next week on Tuesday 9/27, and one Monday October 2nd. I am so thrilled to be branching out into the professional world, but I am so nervous. Everything is starting to become real now, and I cannot fathom where I am going to be in two weeks. This next week, I am planning to do two follow-ups with doctors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and if all goes well, I will have scheduled two more informational interviews to gain insight and profound knowledge about these amazing people and their jobs. To be completely honest with myself, with the emails and messages sent back and forth to these doctors, they are so kind and accepting of my requests to set up interviews. My goal as far as classwork goes for this next week is to keep my digital portfolio updated with my research assessments and to fix the main tabs for the interview assessments. I believe that this next week will be fantastic!
